These images from Cindy Sherman's portfolio of 'Untitled Film Stills' are my favourite. I like seeing part of the whole picture or voyeuristic qualitites. Especially faces, I think missing out vital features like that force us to look at the actual form in the photograph, appreciate it more. This happens with peculiar images as well, as in some of Mitra Trabizian's, you dont understand what you are seeing and are forced to look deeper into the image. I won't be dressing up and starring in my own film stills however, it is a idea though to direct a film still and photograph it with actors though; I will investigate this more.
